Legal Access to Medicines

According to India’s Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, individuals may be permitted to import prescribed medicines for personal use if such medicines are not available or approved locally, provided they meet defined conditions, hold a valid prescription, and obtain necessary approvals.
